Treatment room at the Movement Club: treatment table, mirror, wall bars and an exercise ball

Physiotherapy aims to bring more order into how your body works: less discomfort, better posture and safer everyday movement. You do not get a list of exercises, you get a programme built around your own condition.

The first session always starts with an assessment. We look at how you move, what load you can take and what hurts right now. The programme is built on that, and it changes as you do.

How it works

What a process looks like

Training area at the Movement Club: artificial turf strip, wall bars and suspension straps
  1. Assessment

We go through your history and look at how you move. Bring any medical report or recommendation you have.

  2. Working together

Sessions are guided movement at your own pace, with an explanation of why each part is there.

  3. Homework

A few exercises go home with you. They carry the process: one session a week on its own is not enough.

Where the limit is

Physiotherapy does not replace medical examination or diagnosis. If the pain started suddenly, radiates, comes with numbness, or you have recently had surgery or emergency care, see a doctor first. During pregnancy, ask your doctor before starting any movement programme.
